Three Books I Recommend To All Of My Girls
There is no point getting the body
or the house
or the relationship
or the money or the promotion
if we stagnate or hate it when we get there.
We all believe that possessions or achievements or recognition determine how much we enjoy our lives,
but it is our mind that determines the quality of our experience.
We know this right? But knowing it and living it are two different things.
I was anorexic as a teenager and I know first hand how our mind completely alters our experience of this amazing, precious gift of life.
I have experienced having a powerful mindset from both angles,
the good and the bad.
How do we move from the bad to the good.
From the weak to the powerful?
It's a combination of
Love for ourselves and others.
Making a conscious decision to change.
Taking on daily practices to support that change.
Taking in the best knowledge available.
There are a couple of books I recommend to all of my girls.
There are three that I really like and they are all from Ryan Holiday.
The Ego Is the Enemy: Addressing the things that upset and an cause us pain.
The Obstacle Is The Way: This is mindset required for success in any field
The Daily Stoic: Has one idea or aphorism for each day that just gives you a little something to think about.
I really like today's entry in The Daily Stoic
We go through our days responding and reacting, but it's rare to really pause and ask: Is this thing I'm about to do consistent with what I believe? Or, better: Is this the kind of thing the person I would like to be should do?
The work of living is to set standards and not compromise them. When your brushing your teeth, choosing your friends, loosing your temper, falling in love, instructing your child or walking your dog - all of these are opportunities.
Not, I want to do good- that's an excuse. But, I will do good in this particular instance, right now.
Set a standard; hold fast to it.
That's all there is.
This is the standard we hold ourselves to in The Sports Model Project.
Is an opportunity to be the kind of person that we really want to be.
We achieve amazing things because we live an examined life
where we pay attention to our actions and we make the right choices,
in this instance right now over and over again.

Why You Should Never Quit After You Lose
Recently, our girl Sophie O'callaghan won the Oxygen Cover Girl challenge which is cray cray because when Sophie joined the SMP she had two goals.
To be on the cover of Oxygen
To become a WBFF Pro
Seems simple enough right?
Sophie set the goal and got it.
After all It happens all the time for the girls in The Sports Model Project.
SMP girls get features in Oxygen magazine
SMP girls win WBFF Pro cards
SMP girls compete at the world championships
SMP girls social media followings grow and so do their businesses.
But Sophie's victory came the moment right after her "defeat".
Sophie was tested all the way up to the magic moment because she has competed in all three WBFF shows this year which is really tough physically and mentally!
In her first show she made the top 5
in her second show she placed 2nd and 3rd
and on Saturday's show she placed 4th.
So close all year, but Sophie still hadn't got what she wanted.
She was disappointed and upset and all those emotions that we feel when we don't get what we want.
So that's Saturday night.
Sunday was the Sports Model Project photo shoot with Dallas Olsen.
Heaps of buzz, all of the SMP girls excited
getting hair and make up done
and shooting photos
and while Sophie was shooting they brought out her cover........
So What Can We Learn From That?
Defeat Is often the moment right before our greatest victories.
So although Sophie has just fallen short of Pro status one of her other goals came true. The deeper truth is that Sophie could have quit or dropped her bundle at anytime in the year.
She could have quit when she came second or third or fourth
which are actually all amazing results
but I see girls quit all the time when they don't get exactly what they want straight away.
Those women are robbing themselves of the victory that is right around the corner and in Sophie's case her great victory came the morning after a "defeat".
It's not just about fitness
because the way you do one thing is the way you do everything.
This is about winning the game of life.
So often you doubt
you quit when you don't get what you want and you don't see that the universe has just got you one hurdle closer to victory.
I'm so proud of Sophie, she kept hurdling until she won!
Sophie is an absolute gem of a client
she trains so hard
her response to every challenge has been to try harder
smile more and have an even better attitude.
That's why I love The Sports Model Project
I'm constantly inspired by the women in my team.
It makes me want to keep pushing myself as a coach and as a competitor.
It makes me want to push YOU as a person and as a competitor too.
We only accept women who are
ready to be held to a standard
and work super hard.
It's not for the faint hearted
It's just for women who want to be the best of the best.

Proud leader of the world's best team of sports models.
The Thing That Disney Always Gets Wrong.
At the end of a Disney movie, everything is resolved the prince is married to the princess
and everyone is happy.
But life in the real world is way more beautiful and full of colour.
The sweetest moments are often also kind of bitter.
The happiest moments are often the saddest.
This is Sam Palmer’s last week in The Sports Model Project and it's totally bittersweet.
I'm super sad and yet I’m also filled with joy because of the massive physical and emotional transformation Sam has made since she joined us.
Sam has been such an amazing client she did the work she had a phenomenal transformation and she has been consistently present in the SMP private coaching forum.
But i’ll let Sam tell you in her own words.
Sam’s energy is a shining light,
she has really helped the other girls
and has been a massive leader for our whole community.
Sam bought into the vision I have for my team:
A community of competitive, driven women
who support each other to get the best possible results
and go to the NEXT LEVEL
We all believe that the process of transforming our body is physical
but after working thousands of women
I know that it's so much deeper than that.
Once girls go through my process the whole energy of that women changes and
it's not just a feeling
you can actually see it.
They radiate confidence and self-belief
their mindset is completely visible on their face and
in their body language.
Sam embodies what The Sports Model Project is all about
Setting a standard and sticking to it
Treating every thought, word and action as an opportunity to live up to that standard.
Damn Disney telling me it would be a happy ending.
I'm so sad to see Sam go but I'm so proud of her and
I know she will nail her next adventure.
Is it your turn?
Are you ready?

Be The Hardest Worker In The Room.
Feeling inspired by this video of Phil Heath's acceptance speech after winning Mr Olympia this year.
Bodybuilding and that type of physique aren't for everybody but the mindset and dedication required is for EVERYBODY who wants to be successful.
This video also encapsulates all the things that you get out of training and pushing yourself that aren't just related to how you look.
Being the hardest worker in the room is my personal aspiration
I love working my tush off when there is no one else around.
The real secret is to do all that with passion, conviction and drive.
Often times we go to work or the gym with resignation
"I have to go to work today"
"I'd better go to the gym"|
Nothing will turbocharge your life like changing your language.
"I'm going to be the hardest worker in the room"
"I am going to crush my workout today"
This is particularly important when you are tired or busy or stressed.
That's how we roll in The Sports Model Project, turbocharged with superpowers.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY GORGEOUS Bronte Callaghan !!
Bronte made an unprecedented clean sweep of the first places at Musclemania on the weekend.
Bronte won Musclemania in the novice and open divisions and
she was the overall winner, that's kind of unheard of.
Oh and Bronte is now, a newly minted Pro- fitness model.
Bronte is the sweetest woman,
beautiful heart and a massive work ethic.
She just gets in there and makes it happen.
Bronte's success is due to that mindset.
I want to share her story in more detail in the next few weeks
We are so proud to have her as a member of The Sports Model Project
and to have been her guides on the way.
I am so proud and honoured to be her coach!!
Musclemania as the overall Bikini winner and now a Pro!
Do you want to take the same journey as Bronte?
Is your ambition to get on stage and become a pro-fitness model?

It was a goal on my bucket list, something I aspired to do but didn’t really know if I had in me to accomplish.
My goal initially was simply to get up on stage and compete. I’ve done that now and love the feeling of achievement; all the hard work, sweat and tears that go into comp prep and being able to stand up and express that sense of achievement with pride and confidence.
I placed 2nd and 3rd in my divisions in ICN and top 10 for my divisions in WBFF. I hope to place top 5 for my next WBFF comp.
“The biggest challenge for me was being organized and tracking my food. I love training so that has been the easiest aspect of the journey, what challenging is being totally accountable for what goes in my mouth.”
"This journey has been incredibly healing, grueling, scary, necessary, and so much fun! It started when I was at a low coming out of a breakup and still mourning the passing of my mum."
"To start with the biggest challenge was training but having a routine to stick to gave me focus and started to build my drive.
With the drive and routine, I started to progress in strength which built my confidence."
Fitting in training, meal prepping and tracking my food as well as running my business has been a big challenge. I’m not going to lie, comp prep is time-consuming; physically, mentally and emotionally so finding a balance between my fitness goals and my work has been challenging.
"Setting the intention to compete was scary at first because there was no hiding in my doubts and fears around being good enough to get up on stage but I look back and have no regrets and I actually feel so motivated to keep pushing, experimenting and setting new health and fitness goals to work towards."
I have now more confidence and trust in myself.
I now know I’m capable of achieving anything I set my mind to and understand the value of consistent, hard work if you want a result or to change your mind set and body. I value and love myself more.
I have learned so many things!
Firstly, what you put in you get out.
If I train half-assed I’ll get half-assed results.
If I don’t track my food; I’ll risk an unwanted number on the scales.
At the end of the day, I am totally accountable for my results.
That’s very empowering but annoying at times when I know I’ve slackened off and have no one else to blame but myself.
To connect with an army of like-minded women and a power couple Hattie and Nick, supporting you, all working towards a similar goal is inspiring! I have had so much fun catching up with the SMP girls during comp prep at the posing workshops and shoots we’ve done.
There have been lots of laughs!
Hattie’s full of energy, inspiring and no bull shit!
She expects the best from you, motivates you to train hard and push through your excuses. There have been times when I’ve fallen off track and I’ve looked for her to validate my bull shit but she has pulled me up every time! If you want to work to become the best version of yourself, to get training and personal development coaching by a world number one then I would highly recommend Hattie to coach you.
"I would highly recommend this experience if you feel like you’re in a rut and want to change for the better."
Morgan is a really amazing Osteopath. If you need some body work and you live In North Sydney check her out at www.balancedbods.com.au.

Two Weeks To The World Titles
and…. I’m nervous, I’m excited and I feel confident.
I’m training really hard every day.
I’m on a reduced intake of food and
I haven’t had rest in a few months.
At the end of a long preparation, It’s really a mental game.
But the big show is close and I can’t wait to see all of my friends and then get on stage and compete to see who is the best in the world.
I just love the WBFF, the competitors and what the Federation stands for and no matter how everyone places I just have admiration for the process all of the WBFF pro’s go through.
I have worked really hard this year to improve my physique from last year.
I’m doing things differently, my training and nutrition is a real departure from what I did last year.
In some ways that’s really scary.
I guess I could have kept everything the same as my last prep but I just feel super driven to keep upping my game. I know that this year’s field of competitors is sensational. I also know that they have to catch me and I am determined not to be in the same place as I was last year so have taken a risk so that I can drive myself to the next level.
In the tour de France the hardest place to be is at the front of the pack because you have to cut the wind, everyone else is in your slipstream. So it’s easier to ride just behind the leader and save your strength for the sprint later. Plus the leader can't see where the rest of the field is and has to drive them selves forward without fear.
For a long time that was Andrea’s job. The standard she set pulled me towards getting better and better until it was my turn to be the standard bearer.
As the reigning world champion, It’s my job to keep pushing the competitive standard of the WBFF and create a slip stream for my fellow competitors.
That’s the beauty of competing we all bring out the best out in each other.
So this year I’m bringing the best package I have ever brought to stage,
I'm bringing my A-Game
and I’m bringing a heart full of love
and I'm going to bring home the tittle.
Love and Light
PS: Right now my Sports Model Project is full.
I’ll be taking on 10 new girls in September once I’m done competing and have had a little break.
