Do you have flexibility in your system?

Flexibility is one of the things
you must love about tracking your macros.

You can be flexible --
all while still hitting your goals.

You have flexibility because your macros can be moved around
within the calories your body needs.

But should you do that all the time?
How often should you switch around with your macros?

First answer, not all the time.
Second, it depends on what your goals are
and how far or near you are from your goals.

For example, when eating out with friends or when having family gatherings
(big holidays are coming!), you have the option to switch around your macros.

So when you go over one macro,
you can take it from the other and stay within your target calories.

On the other hand, there are also times you can be rigid,
either when doing a comp prep
or just working on a transformation goal.

So the key takeaways here are:

1: Balance is king. (Find it. Implement it in your system.)

Know where you are, and know where you want to be.

The further you are from your goals, the less space there is for flexibility.
The nearer you are, the more space there is for your routine.

2: Flexibility allows for sustainability.

Know when to be rigid, know when to be flexible.

There are times in the year when your routines can seem robotic.
Other times you just need to be the free and playful woman that you are.

And by that, I mean, you can loosen your reins without completely letting go.
After all, transformation isn’t just about the physical.
You also need to feed your soul.

Your habits and routine should take you to the best shape of your life,
Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

“Recognise that often the hardest work is knowing when to rest or be playful.”

That’s the very first principle we have in the Sports Model Project.
