I remember as a kid,
Sitting in the back of the car,
On the way to somewhere fun like the beach.
Being so overwhelmingly excited that I constantly had to ask -
"Are we there yet?"
"Are we there yet?"
"Are we there yet?"
Over and over again
for pretty much the whole trip.
Thinking back to those moments I realise how annoying that must have been for my parents.
But I just couldn't wait to get there.
I was excited and impatient.
It feels the same when you've got a goal you want to reach right?
It's all you can think about -
The excitement and impatience
to get there as quickly as possible.
But here's the thing,
The journey is just as important as the destination.
The steps you take and the things you learn along the way matter just as much as finally reaching your goal.
In fact, it's those seemingly little things
that are going to get you to where you want to go.
And it's so easy to try to speed up the process out of desperation.
You do more cardio,
More weight sessions,
Restrict your calories even more.
And it works -
At the start.
Because when you go so hard like that,
The results are visible,
but only in the beginning.
You see, when your focus is only on what's at the end of the road,
You lose track of what's happening right now.
When you're so focused on getting to the beach,
You miss all the amazing scenery along the way.
The Sports Model Project takes you on a journey of transformation and self-mastery.
It's progress-based,
not goals-based.
Why?
Because we know that the steps you take today
matter just as much as the destination.
We give you the tools and guidance
to keep you focused on what's happening right now.
Because today's actions
will get you one step closer
to where you want to be tomorrow.
Slow progress
is lasting progress.
And lasting progress is way more valuable than instant success.
