This literally happened to me the other week.
Walking over to the gym, I was thinking to myself,
“I’m just gonna do 500 calories.”
“I’m just gonna do my steady state.”
“I’m not gonna do the HIIT.”
“It’s too late. I’m not gonna be able to sleep.”
I was SO resistant to doing my training.
(Grateful though I was still able to pull it off even when with gritted teeth.)
And I bet that’s what you’d do too, right?
You must have experienced this too.
At some point of your training, or even in your meal prep, or doing your mindset work
this usually comes up.
But why do we often feel resistant towards what we actually want?
You’ve probably reached the point where you start to resent the process.
So here’s what you need to know:
Even the MOST successful people in the world have faced the greatest resistance before us.
So if you feel resistance in what you’re doing?
That means you ARE on the right track.
It’s a sign that you’re growing.
It’s a sign that you’re taking the route to mastery.
Because you’re stepping out of your comfort zone, refining your skills,
pushing yourself to go further.
And here’s a reminder for you:
You don’t resent the process that gives you success.
It’s the process that has taken you to where you are now.
It’s the process that will take you even further.
Whether you’re aiming to take your training to the next level or get on stage,
Acknowledge that success is an uncomfortable procedure.
And the process of transformation and personal mastery is like a whole pie.
You need each slice of it.
No matter the taste or texture.
Because altogether, they bring flavour to your success.
