How to not feel restricted with discipline

So you woke up today, prepared everything, fed the kids, headed to the gym, pulled that bar, hit that rep, even when you didn’t feel like training at all. (Proud of you.)

You still chose to show up because... you knew, when you stepped into this commitment, you had to grasp onto discipline so you can push yourself to new heights.

Huge vision = High standards. That’s where you’re grounded.

But it seems that… Everything has become robotic and rigid and restrictive. And this is not what you want. What you want is to live a life of freedom, isn’t it?

My girls and I also have this feeling.

There are parts of us that are rigid. There are parts of us that want flexibility.

So how can you get rid of feeling restricted from discipline?

You have to acknowledge that it’s not you against discipline, nor the process, nor yourself.

There are parts of your system that are both high-achieving and gentle. Learn to welcome them and mold them into your beautiful vision.

Finding peace and freedom IN discipline is a journey in itself. And that’s how we live in the Sports Model Project.
