How do you know if a plateau is caused by mindset or discipline issues?

Well, first of all, check and say,

Have you done something repeatedly for long enough?

Do you have a process that you have repeated for a month or longer, and you've stuck with it and you've measured everything but you’re not getting results?

If you haven’t, the first step is to work on your disciplines.

Another word for that is your habits or practices.

Do something consistently for a month or longer as a start point.

If you have followed the process for a month or longer, then that's NOT you. 

That's NOT your mindset. 

That just means you need to change your methods, or something in the process might need altering.

So what is a mindset issue then?

It’s when you’ve got all the resources and tools you need –

(It doesn’t matter if you pay for a high-level training program.)

(It doesn't matter if you're working with someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger.)

And you expect to make progress in a linear fashion.

Or you expect to get results fast.

Or you think it has to be all or nothing.

That if you don’t hit your macros perfectly?

Or train 6-7 days a week?

You feel like you’re failing.

… When you’re actually making progress.

You’re just not recognising your small wins.

And what about if it's a discipline issue?

It’s when you know what needs to be done, and what it takes to get the job done, and end up not doing it.

Because? Reasons and Excuses.

Reasons always sound best to those who are saying them.

Sometimes they are really smart sounding excuses like
“If I just change to this exercise, I’ll get better results”
“I’m a bit bored of this program, I’m going to try this other program”
“I saw ____ said eat this food on Instagram”

That is why the Sports Model Project is longer than everybody else.

Because, inevitably, you're going to lose the motivation and enthusiasm you had in the first week – or in the first few weeks – or in the first month. 

And all you're left with is “What are my choices?”
