You know that feeling when you’ve done all the crazy work…
…yet it’s not getting you results.
“Success is just right there.”
So you push and you push…
Just a bit more…
Only, you’ve reached the point of burn out and helplessness…
First off, I just want to let you know that –
I’ve been there, too.
You’re not alone.
And it’s definitely not easy.
Your hardwork and unparalleled perseverance is commendable.
But the problem is:
You can’t see how your hard work is keeping you stuck.
So you throw in some more hard work and hope it all figures itself out… right?
(This is normal for high achievers by the way)
But there’s a key distinction here that you haven’t yet grasped and is an absolute requirement for you to become who you truly want to be.
Effort vs Intensity.
It’s important to understand the difference between these two.
So what is effort?
Effort feels like it’s me or YOU vs the world.
Effort is all about HOW you feel.
And I don’t know about you but… my feelings can be all over the place sometimes.
As they should be.
I’m a human being like you. 🙂
The thing is: if we keep relying on effort…
We’re leaving all the gains on the table.
That is why we have intensity.
How is it different from effort?
Intensity is maintaining an objective standard.
It’s something that can be measured.
It’s about hitting 10 reps at 60kg on your back squat...
Then hitting 10 reps at 62.5kg the next week on the same day in your program.
Funnily enough, using the right intensity also means applying the right amount of rest.
And that’s where the secret of transformation lies…
Because the hardest work?
It’s about knowing when to rest and to play.
It’s knowing when to push and when to loosen the reins.
It’s effort and intensity applied correctly.
