If you're like me you have really high standards for yourself.
Work hard, play hard, train hard.
Those parts of us are amazing but often the parts if us that need rest or want to have an off day get less air time.
That’s why I’m proud of my girl Paige.
In the last five months with SMP Paige has learnt how to have high standards AND Self-compassion`.
Self-love and Elite Body Composition
“I’ve learnt to love myself and be nice to myself on days where I go off track instead of having a negative mindset to the mistakes I may make.”
Take it away Paige.
How long have you been working with SMP?
Since July 2021
What got you started on this journey?
“I was sick of feeling unhappy with the way I felt and looked and decided it was time to make a change for the better.”
What was your biggest challenge(s) at the start?
What was your goal?
What result did you achieve?
“I’ve dropped 4kg in overall weight.
Lost 3.5kg of fat and dropped 4% body fat
Maintained muscle mass.”
How have you changed?
“My change actually came from my mindset towards food.
Through SMP I learnt that food is not good or bad.
Your body doesn’t see it that way so why should we!
That mindset shift has helped me in so many ways as I used to feel so guilty towards a “cheat meal”.
Now I just realise that it’s not full of the nutrients I need and won’t help me reach my goals. I track daily to keep myself accountable to what goes into the body.
Also, I’ve incorporated an extra rest day which is great! I used to think I had to train every day but less is more.”
What were your biggest challenges going though the process?
“My biggest challenge would be the social aspect. I want to achieve my goals which did mean sacrificing social events or going to the event but having to have the willpower to say no (this happened sometimes and sometimes not haha).”
What have you learnt?
“I’ve learnt consistency is key. If you aren’t consistent you won’t get the results.
I’ve learnt that systems/habits in place are useful tools as they keep you on track on days you might not feel like sticking to the plan given!
I’ve learnt to love myself and be nice to myself on days where I go off track instead of having a negative mindset to the mistakes I may make.”
How would you describe your journey?
“Lots of ups and downs so far. I love the journey so far and I'm realising that it’s not just a ‘6 month challenge’ that I'm on.
It’s making changes for a healthier life for future me”
What was it like working with the Sports Model Project and the other girls in your team?
“Such a wonderful community.
They are there to help guide you in the right direction and support you and cheer you on!”
What is it like working with Hattie?
“She’s amazing! She’s just so upfront about everything.
Any doubts you have, she’s able to help answer them!”
What is next for you?
“I have a couple more months remaining of SMP. I would like to stay on with SMP for the community aspect and support system!
The future is positive and I would like to potentially go on stage at some point within the next 12 months.”
Is there anything that you really want to say?
“Thank you SMP for everything!
You have an amazing team behind you and have truly created something beautiful for woman to be able to live a better life.”
What is your business all about?
“I own a group fitness gym called 5EF Southport offering group fitness classes including HIIT, strength and boxing!”

It’s so great seeing our girls come in and learn a process of transformation and personal mastery.
To eat food because it’s delicious and to fuel their performance.
To train really hard but still continue to rest.
To develop elite body composition.
To learn to be nice to yourself when you have off days.
