a) they want to go straight into a prep
b) they want to do a building phase
c) they want to achieve high-level physique
d) they have been doing all the work but what they get instead is the opposite of what they actually want – or worse, they only end up getting injured.
In all of these cases they are making classic mistakes that sabotage their hardwork.
So they wonder:
“Why do I get big traps and little shoulders when I am actually trying to grow my shoulders?”
“Why are my quads growing but not my glutes when I am doing all the glutes thing?”
“Why am I getting injuries after having done all the things I should be doing?”
Well, the question there is:
Have you looked at your foundation?
Put it this way:
What happens if you build a house on unstable ground?
What happens if a house doesn’t have a good foundation?
Well, it won’t collapse – right away.
But it will at least sag, and the sagging will crack the wallboard, the tiles, the windows. Joints will open and your roof may leak.
So the point is:
We will never understand the outcome unless we pull back and tune into the framework that supports that outcome.
In other words, you have to look at your foundation first.
And that foundation? Is your body.
Are your joints stable enough?
Did you check the ability of your shoulders before doing the movement?
Are they flexible enough?
Is your body even ready for a prep?
Is it strong enough for a build?
Have you ever looked at where you’re dominant and where your energy leaks are?
Because maybe you can't go into doing a big build phase with strength sessions if you actually don't have the building blocks to handle it.
Do you need help with that?
It's ok if you don't have the answers to these questions.
Most people don’t.
That's why unfortunately most competitors never reach their potential and often sadly women put in a year of their life and end up disappointed.
SMP has worked with thousands of women,
hundreds of competitors and coached multiple WBFF Pro Divas.
They were all ages,
level of experience and differing levels of skill.
They ended up winning shows and pro-cards or never competing but learning the life-long skill of how to have elite body composition.
Love and light,
