There is a difference between knowing and being.
That difference is feeling and intention.
Of those two, intention is easiest to set
but the feeling of the thing is the hardest
because it comes from the doing of it and faith in our purpose.
It comes from sitting at the feet of the master
it comes from subjugating your ego to the task.
It comes from being bad enough times that you become ok.
Ok becomes average
and average becomes good
and good becomes great
and great becomes skilled
and skilled becomes master
and after mastery comes spiritual truth
and certainty of one’s true purpose.
But at each stage ego tries to insert itself.
It tells you that it’s the important thing
that you’re amazing, the most amazing, the most special
that you don’t need to do the work, that your greatness will do it for you.
or
It says you’re not enough, that the mountain is too high that the valley is too low that your the least worthy person and so there is no point doing the work
at each level in your development ego will insert itself.
but bad becomes ok
and ok becomes average
and average becomes good
and good becomes great
and great becomes skilled
and skilled becomes master
and spiritual truth becomes our truth
If we do the work with faith in ourselves.
If we plant ourselves at the feet of the masters
and work and escape the trap of ego at every stage.
That's the difference between knowing and being.
