The ghosts of the old habits past.
(It's not what your thinking)
There are two metal bottles sitting in the backseat of my car.
I bought them so I could develop a habit of drinking more water.
See hydration status is highly correlated with feelings of motivation drive, and energy.
I want more of all of that.
One is lying on top of the other in my car.
Both are empty.
I wouldn’t have known they were there
if I hadn't heard them clanking as I was driving my way home.
But they must have been there for a while now.
And here’s me now, looking at two expensive water bottles, dehydrated.
Why am I sharing this?
It can go one of two ways at this point:
#1: Feel bad because I haven’t been drinking enough water and hitting my habit; or
#2: Those habits I formed are waiting for me again. (They have been waiting since the first bottle. And now again with the second one.)
What does this mean for you?
This means a lot,
Your habits never left.
Your identity has always been there inside you.
You are still the hardest worker in the room.
We have all fallen off habits or things that used to serve us.
But you can still do what you have already done.
So this is a call back to home –
to come back to your practice.
Start training again.
Go to your movement class.
Call a friend.
That’s what home is like to you. Isn’t it?
Now it must have got some cobwebs and is a bit messy but…
It’s still your home.
You can put a broom through it, and in a week or two, it will be good as new.
Do you need help with that?
The Sports Model Project is a process of transformation and personal mastery.
It’s a home for resourceful women who are powerfully supporting one another.
Come back to your practice.
SMP is for the hardest worker in the room –
Even when she has taken a break.
On the other side?
You have love, care, support, and a team of coaches to drive you towards the vision that you have for yourself.
So you can live in your spirit.
Live your spirit,
Be your vision.
Love and light,
Hattie x The SMP Team
