How do you develop confidence?
Funnily enough,
It's not the way the entire internet tells you to do it.
"Think positively about yourself"
"Say affirmations"
Don't get us wrong,
mindset is a really big part of being successful.
But success and confidence
are two different things.
Once upon a time,
@hattieboydle wasn't a World Champion.
She didn't tell herself to be confident
so she could become a World Champion.
She did the extremely hard
and grueling work
of becoming a World Champion.
And through that challenge and journey,
she became confident.
This is also known as -
Doing really hard things
and being the hardest worker in the room.
That's how you build confidence.
Confidence is taking action
and trusting that you'll be able to handle whatever comes up,
even when it feels uncomfortable.
But feeling uncomfortable
is actually part of being confident.
Because when you feel the discomfort
of the unfamiliar or a brand new challenge,
You settle in for the long haul
and take the action necessary to be successful.
That's confidence.
Knowing you can overcome the next hardest thing,
And the next hardest thing,
And the next.
That's a powerful place to be in.
