People love to get obsessed with programs and different workouts.
But there’s one thing that all successful training programs have in common.
One thing that all people get results from applying continually.
Progressive overload.
It’s what we obsess about when doing our client’s programming.
What’s the sets, what’s the tempo, what’s the volume,
what are the best exercises to get the right stimulus for the client.
We tweak all the variables so that you can get the best results.
But most people don’t focus on that with their training.
They tend to focus more on intensity.
On how hard it feels.
On how much you’re sweating.
On the burn.
On how exhausted you feel at the end.
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Thing is: what seems to be a failure in results is actually just a failure in the process.
And here’s what you need to know:
You could completely wreck yourself training,
dissolve yourself into a pool of sweat.
But your body won’t change itself unless that stress
was greater than the stress that you experienced in your previously.
Why?
Because our muscles need fresh stress to grow.
If you do the same workouts and apply the same variables in the same load?
You’ll only end up having your muscles get used to the same stress.
Leaving no stimulus for growth.
This is also why doing completely different training sessions each time you train
is really ineffective over the long term.
When you change sessions all the time, it’s impossible to know if the next session you do
is harder than the one you did before.
So, if you want to get elite level results?
That requires
elite-level coaching,
elite-level process,
elite-level techniques, skills, and principles.
And that’s what the Sports Model Project does.
Would you like some help with that?
