The wrong prep goal will lead you to your downfall

Are you comparing yourself to the girl who just needs to do a cut?

24 weeks and then get own stage?

On IG we see women at an amazing level of conditioning getting ready for a competition with a cut.
It looks awesome.

#Goals right?

But we actually haven't seen everything that she's done that led her to the physique,
where her maintenance now allows her just to do a cut,
and be ready for a shoot or show.

Where are the majority of girls at?

They are at stage one.

They've never done a general preparation phase.
They've never looked at their movement, mobility, flexibility, stability.
They've never looked at any of them.
And then they want to jump straight up to:

“You know what? I'm going to do a 24-week, or a 12-week cut and be ready for a show.
Then I’m going to have bigger glutes, smaller waist, and bigger shoulders by then.”

And that’s how your prep goal can cause your own downfall.

Because the girl that you’re comparing yourself to?
She’s already done a multiphase process.

To get the muscle mass on her glutes, on her shoulders,
and be able to be in a position that if she wants to go into a weight loss phase…

She’s not going to just be little and skinny
because she’s got the lean mass on her physique.

She’s not going to be on such low calories that her metabolism and fertility are damaged by this competition she did one time.

Overall, it’s all about the principle that we always speak about in SMP:
Foundation Phase – the prep before the prep.

And while the photos are glamorous...
the process isn’t.

And yep, it takes a long time…

Because great things take time and they are hard.
