I flew overnight from the Gold Coast WBFF Show and did an amazing photo shoot with my girls in The Sports Model Project.
Last week I was in Singapore for the WBFF show,
the week before I was at the North American show In LA
I’m full of energy after meeting so many amazing girls on three continents. The standard of competition has been really high and the attitude of the girls has been inspiring.
But the main reason I’m on a bit of a high was the photo shoot I had with my girls in the Sports Model Project on Sunday.
The girls competed on Saturday and I think this is the best my team has ever looked. It was certainly the most emotionally together and powerfully energetic team I have had.
Some of my girls improved so much from their last show.
Gemma and Kerry are so inspirational to me and I want to tell you more about them and their journey later in the week and let them inspire you the way they inspire me.
There is beauty and honor in the ideal we live by,
constantly striving for improvement
every day
every week
every month
every year,
year in and year out.
Gemma and Kerry embody that ideal and watching them grow and progress is a deep source of joy for me.
We didn’t win in some categories that I thought we were a lock in, it was a real surprise to me and I think to my girls competing too because the looked amazing and their posing was on point.
But that's why it’s called competing and not winning.
You train, you put your whole being into it and then you let go because you have no control over the outcome. You compete and then you accept the result whichever way it goes.
There are no guarantees.
The measure of a person is how they deal with the result.
That’s why I’m on a high.
My team, who I’m so damn proud of, had a photo shoot together on Sunday and every one of those girls was happy and vivacious.
Just the fact that we had a massive team of powerful women together supporting each other was so special. Other members of The Sports Model Project came up and supported our girls over the weekend and the feeling we had together on Sunday was special and I’m really thankful I got to experience it with them.
When the girls saw their photos they realised that they are in place that virtually no one ever gets to.
They have scaled the mountain.
They look so beautiful and the feeling between us, the bond we have around our shared achievement is so powerful.
Because I have been traveling so much It’s been hard to document what my girls have achieved but over the next few weeks, i'll be telling their stories.
I know they will inspire in you the same drive and joy and determination they have inspired in me. (I'm so hungry to improve after seeing their example)
I’ll leave you with one last thought.
Real champions sprint from the start
