What I learned from 2021

Groundhog Day allows you to learn enough about things you barely gave attention to.

That was 2021 for me!

Last year, I got really good at not depending on a due date.
I utilised that time to live in the shoes of the woman who follows a process 80% of the time.

This little shift in my mindset allowed me to maintain previous years progress.
Because all or nothing gets you all or nothing.

So what about other 20%?

It was purely about letting balance in.

I learned a lot about movement and nutrition, and tried different things to get around injuries.
I used self-regulation tools the most.
Like you, I had many days where I felt in and out of my window.
And it's totally normal!

Off course a side effect of the test we have all been putting through,
and I’m grateful I have the tools to do that. (Thanks @michelle_baty @hattieboydle.)

Think about all the things you’ve experienced last year…

Now extract every single moment you got up and broke the pattern.
Even though when you woke up that day it looked exactly the same as all of the others.

That kind of progress? That only happens when...

YOU use reflection to separate your unique energy from the limitations your mind replays
over and over about how this or that
can only be done
when things get back to normal!

I love routine, but I love routine that I feel good into.
I love results, but I love results that involve pushing through to progress upon.
I liked when the world was normal…

But nothing is ever normal.
Is normal even better?

So I have thought...

Until you realise that tomorrow gives you ALWAYS the same survival conditions,
Then you can be grateful that today doesn’t really actually need to be the same,

unless you allow it to!

I teach this and learn this in @the_sportsmodel_project with my fellow teachers and learners
@tigerandthemonk, @artofnoticing, @hattieboydle, @jamiecosta.

We are doing a webinar this week on Mindset.

How do you

--> Reflect

--> Create a vision for yourself

--> Turn that vision into small steps that you repeat every day, week, month.

How do you do all of that AND stay in your spirit.
How can you be a high-achiever and experience Self-Love + Self-Compassion.
