I work really hard.
I am proud of my efforts everyday.
So why don't I look the part?
I wish I could wear my hard work.
When I don't see it, it makes me feel the opposite.
Like I’m never working hard enough.
It’s hard to show up at the gym and feel that.
It makes it hard to even do the work.
But I do.
I keep showing up!!!
It’s just there’s not much joy in it.
I have high standards!!
Only they hurt.
Not physically, but it hurts my heart…
It hurts to hear what I say to myself when I stop and listen.
So, sometimes it’s just easier to do more.
Only a ship that’s sailing in the wrong direction only gets further away from its destination when it goes faster.
I’ve been to the seminars.
I’ve read the books.
I’ve done the course.
I listened to the podcast.
They seem to work fine for everyone else.
Only they aren’t working for me.
