So often we believe a good life is just when we set a goal to achieve it.
“If I was a champion everything would be better.”
“If I was the best, life would be way better.”
And that’s a mistake.
And everybody’s making it.
Why?
What makes a good life?
Having the vision is one thing,
But BIGGER than that: is living your spirit.
Who do you really want to be?
What type of person do you aspire to become?
What are the beliefs, values, principles that drive your action?
Let’s say your goal is to have your dream job.
Maybe you’ll achieve the goal by accident or with a good dose of luck.
Because the goal was to achieve the goal, right?
And then once you have the job, you’ll realise:
“Oh, I got a bit lucky here, I didn’t truly earn it”
Achieving your vision has three layers (take note):
The outer layer is the outcome – the WHAT: and that is your goal.
The middle layer is your process – the HOW: how you are going to achieve your goal.
The core is your principles and values – the WHO: how do you look at yourself? WHO do you wish to become?
